WATCH! 2017 Ford GT Goes Into Full On Race Mode

Race mode is one five different MODES that the 2017 Ford GT can be put into. As you can see in the video, when the Ford GT is put into race mode it squats and extends it wing. Ready for battle.

The MODES are selected from the Ford GT’s steering wheel and include Normal, Wet, Sport, Vmax and of course Race. When the Ford GT is in Vmax MODE it lowers its ride height 50mm (about 2 inches for ‘mericans) and the rear wing goes flat to allow less drag. In comparison, Race MODE lowers the ride height but raises the rear wing to ensure the down force is there to tame the beast.

That beast comes in the form of a 3.5 liter twin turbocharged EcoBoost V-6.  The engine is projected to make 600hp and allow the car to reach a top speed somewhere north of 200 mph.
