Intermot, Cologne has given us the 2019 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT. The newest version from the Austrian manufacturer has a number of upgrades to be excited about. A 6.5” TFT dash, Quickshifter+ and lean-angle sensitivity for braking and traction control are all included for 2019.
Powering the KTM, now with 175 horsepower (about 5 more than before), is a 1,301cc V-Twin that has upgraded resonator chambers, titanium intake valves and new engine mapping. Different riding modes are also available. The WP suspension can be put into Comfort, Street, or Sport. There’s also a button that allows preload to be adjusted for added weight such as luggage.
The Super Duke GT has an updated powerful LED headlight. There are also tank storage compartments, with a USB input. With an available app, smartphone connectivity allows riders to accept and reject calls and scroll through music playlists.
The two colors available for the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT are white and black.
The Super Duke R gains 2 horsepower for a total of 177. The R will also have the Quickshifter+ as an option, cornering ABS, WP suspension, TFT dash, and LED headlight. The R adds options such as the Track Pack, which includes launch control, spin adjuster, three throttle response settings, and anti-wheelie control. The performance pack adds motor slip regulation to control aggressive downshifting traction and Quickshifter+.
