2024 Corvette E-Ray

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray is an AWD Performance Hybrid that celebrates 70 years of Corvette.

Chevrolet has returned to Motorama, 70 years after the debut of the first Corvette, introducing the first-ever electrified Corvette with all-wheel-drive, the 2024 E-Ray. The E-Ray, available in removable roof coupe and hardtop convertible models, aims to be the perfect car for Corvette owners to arrive in anywhere, no matter the season. The car uses electrification to enhance the driving experience with intense straight-line performance and all-weather confidence with eAWD.

2024 Corvette E-Ray2024 Corvette E-RayThe new Chevrolet E-Ray is not only the first-ever electrified Corvette with all-wheel-drive, but it’s also the quickest production Corvette in history, clocking a 2.5-second 0-60 mph time and breezing through the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds. This is thanks to the 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8 engine, which puts out 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque to the rear axle, and an electric motor that channels an additional 160 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque through the front wheels via a 1.9 kWh battery pack. This combination results in a total of 655 horsepower, 15 horsepower less than the race-focused Z06. The electric motor over the front axle is compact, preserving space in the front storage compartment.

The eAWD system constantly learns the road surface, adapting to meet changing traction conditions and driver needs. This means that during spirited driving and in low-traction environments, the E-Ray’s eAWD system applies additional power to the front wheels, providing enhanced vehicle stability.

2024 Corvette E-RayThe Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray has two driver-initiated electric modes that allow the car to travel under electric propulsion in certain conditions. Stealth Mode enables all-electric driving when selected at start-up, for a period of time before the engine turns on for normal driving. This feature is perfect for quietly exiting a neighborhood, with a maximum speed of 45 mph. The engine automatically engages if the vehicle’s speed exceeds the limit, additional torque is requested by the driver, or the E-Ray’s battery pack is depleted.

The standard Active Fuel Management system uses the electric motor for 4-cylinder operation in various driving scenarios. The amount of electric assist is tailored within the E-Ray’s six driver-selectable modes: Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, My Mode and Z-Mode.

A Brembo Carbon Ceramic brake system and Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 with three settings are standard. The E-Ray has a low, wide stance with bodywork that is 3.6 inches wider than the Corvette Stingray. Driver assistance technologies (shared with all 2024 Corvette models) include, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Automatic Emergency Braking.

2024 Corvette E-RayAt a glance, the E-Ray shares its purposeful, wide-body proportions with the Z06, and the lightweight alloy wheels have a twisted five-spoke star design that is exclusive to the E-Ray. The car features four aluminum wheel finishes, fourteen exterior color choices, and an E-Ray-exclusive body-length stripe package in Electric Blue. The standard carbon flash badging, available black exhaust tips and bright badging, and optional carbon fiber ground effects and carbon fiber wheels, add to the car’s distinguished appearance. The E-Ray also introduces a new Artemis green tone for the interior only available on 2024 Corvettes.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is an exciting new addition to the sports car market. With an MSRP of $104,295 for the 1LZ coupe and $111,295 for the 1LZ convertible model, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray goes on sale later this year.
